I wanted to use this thread to show some of my tiki works as they come about.
To start here is a work in progress. It is clay and still in a wet stage.

I usually dont go for the brightly coloured tikis, but I really like that one. Its gonna look even cooler when she is fired though.

Looks good Coach. I like the faux wood grain makes it look like a wood tiki. Lets see some more..

Here are 5 tile sets I did a while back. The first for are 4.25 inch sq tiles. the last are appox 2 X 4.25. All tiles are handmade and painted. They could be mounted on board and framed in bamboo or grouted into a wall or tabletop. I have yet to mount them to anything, awaiting a buyers preferance. BTW, is it understood that folks on TC can contact each other about purchasing works posted? These are for sale.

Again, you have mastered the technicolour tii! I really like the way those tiles have come out. i would love to see them incorporated into bathroom tiles on an actual wall.
More photos please!

Are technocolored tikis taboo?
I have been planning some just done with oxide stains rather than glazes.

I am all for the technicolour tiki. However, most of them are garish and ugly. They often look cheap and ugly. Yours are not. Therefore they are not taboo.
The oxide stains sound cool as well

now presented in technicolour tiki. LOve bright colors. Its what I am into at the moment, tiki or not. Your stuff has the feel of what TC memeber -,Beachin, does with the handmade cermanics and tons of bright colors, with I know personal, both take a lot of time and effort. You and beachin should bounce ideas off one another. Nice stuff

Damn those tiles are cool.
Those would look great in a bar top.
Are they sealed or glazed to protect the paint.
Hmmmmmm a tile reno for the bathroom could be in order now...
