I've been collecting postcards for a while now and it's amazing to me that there are still obscure, undiscovered (by me) tiki images that can knock my socks off.
This is my latest find:
Actually that's just one part of a larger postcard:
My photo doesn't do the nice deep colors justice. Here's the text from the back:
The Purple Lantern
Main Store: 1217 25th Ave. Gulfport, Miss. 39501
Branch: 130 Magnolia Ave. (at Mary Mahoney's) Biloxi, Miss. 39530
Browse in the 26 Exotic Markets in the Main Store. With Gifts. Foods. Books. Toys and Accessories. Main Store Winner of 3 National Merchandising Awards. Biloxi Branch (Opened Labor Day 1972) Not to be Missed.
Kind of like an early mini-mall I guess?
Bigbro - have you ever seen this Witco photo before? If not, then you are definitely welcome to scan it.
What was this Witco piece called?
Sabu

Isn't that "Big Joe"? They have a couple at the Hala Kahiki.

Nice oversized card Sabu! You must of had an obscure keyword to have found it, makes the hunt more fun that way.
