Here's my new Tiki Bar built this winter and installed at Gleniffer Lake in Central Alberta, Canada.
The frame is plywood, the top is cedar
panelling burnt with a torch. It is trimmed
with bamboo and pine burnt with a torch. The top is finished with a marine varnish. The rim is lit with 12' of rope light and there is a 5 speaker surround sound system inside.
Capt Jack on the bar is motion activated.

That is swank...nice work.
Just our of curiosity are there any Tiki style drinks that invove the non-tradional additon of Canadian Hooch?
A signature drink is what your (and every) bar needs.
Great Big Sea (Newfies) have some songs about living in the tropics. That would be great on the surround sound.
Cheers

Welcome Boomer!
Newfie screetch is a Jamaican Rum, should work well in any tiki drink!
I think there is a particular drink that contains canadian whisky, can't remember where I saw it though, or the name, big help I am.
Great bar! I love the different shades of stains.

Welcome to TC, Boomer. Nice work. Is that a mobile home it's in front of? Tikiwahine is right -- I've used screech in a Mai Tai with excellent results.
