Wednesday, July 20, VOODOO SUITE will be playing a special new venue in Manhattan for Bliss Blood's Birthday Party! For those of you who haven't heard us yet (!!) VOODOO SUITE is Exotica with Tom Beckham, vibes; Yusuke Yamamoto on percussion & Matt Pavolka on bass, & Bliss Blood on uke, xylophone, musical saw, percussion & vocals. We play music by Les Baxter, Martin Denny, Robert Drasnin, Arthur Lyman, Billie Holiday, Tom Waits, Shirley Horn, June Christy, etc. We are trying out this new venue in the Lower East Side, so come down and celebrate with us. There's no cover. We hope this goes well so we can make it a bi-monthly event.

Wed July 20, Thurs Aug 11, 25, Sept 8, 15, 9:00-midnite
VIA DELLA PACE, 48 East 7th St. @ 2nd Ave. in Manhattan, in collaboration with D.J. Desmond Miller (Bossa Blue Experience) , we will be alternating sets of cool exotica jazz and lounge delights in the subterranean lounge.
Great wine, drinks & food, plus free snacks all night!

See you soon!

WOW!!! VoodooSuite kicks some serious butt!! I just listened to the Exotica tracks that you recorded by Drasnin and Baxter and I was pleasantly surprised. No, more like I was floored!!! Your renditions are very true to the originals. What a spectacular job. I sure wish I could have seen your performance yesterday. Keep up the good work and keep recording these classic exotica tunes, you really know what your doing. Kudos, to the incredible vocal talents as well. Not an easy feat to accomplish especially on the Drasnin pieces. Awesome!!!

Jeff

Voodoo Suite sounds great! Especially, the fantastic exotica take on Sidney Clare's (B. Holiday) "You're My Thrill". Nice touch!
