Been 100% absorbed in starting new mission/parish after 12+ years at my old "job" - been crazy busy preparing to sell our house - and we just closed escrow today on our "new" (c. 1935) house....things like "spare" time and money are now a thing of the past....Thank God, though....I WILL be at the Lucky Tiki Spooooky Art Show this Sunday night!! BTW - My plans are to be at the Tiki Ti on Saturday Nov. the 5th, with the Amber Love Goddess, Playa Del Miles and a bunch of his surf rats, after attending kooche's gallery showing if I can find out where it is.
I'm not doing any bravado announcement of my LA trip because of the history of such announcements being rescinded. Nevertheless, I think I can make it this time because I put a week in Hawai'i on the agenda AFTER LA.
I think I fooled myself but I can never be sure because I don't trust myself.

Ahhh, I see after a bit of research that it is the Second Tiki Art Book signing and I can see a bunch of the wacked out tortured artist types that populate this bandwidth. Including Crazy Al, who I last witnessed assaulting King Kukulele in Unga Bunga's motel room.

I miss vintage girl's and Atomic Cocktail's groovy style as well.

I've been in occasional contact with emspace. I was hoping to see him in Vancouver last August but it didn't happen. He's busy raising a family and making a living and is pretty much avoiding the whole tiki realm.
I'd like to nominate this thread for "worst TC thread title." Think about it.

Thanks for asking. I had to deal with some serious earning-a-living stuff this summer, and attempt to solve some family problems. All is better now. Does seem like alot of old-timers are not posting like they used to though.
