Yes! We'd love to dine with you fine folks. Can I sit next to Russell?

Yes indeedy, now that we're not promised a violent storm and all the accompanying fender-benders and flooding, most likely we WILL see everyone tonight!
We're gonna start at the Conga around eight. Anyone from the East/North/Whatever Bay who wants to make that the first pit stop, feel free to join in. Paul's pouring, so you know it'll be enticing...

What a wonderful way to ring in the new year -- the meal was delicious and a lot of fun, the drinks were delicious and a lot of fun, and the company was delicious and a lot of fun. Pictures -- I got hundreds of 'em...

From left to right: me, Hanford, Hubert & Russell (seated on the wall), Inky Louise, Denise, Conga Mike & Mr. Smiley
Inky enjoys one of the many fabulous pieces of Trader Vic's dinnerware
Hanford is startled by his Shark Fin Soup, as a Panda looks on
Bongo Bongo!
Hubert & Russell are still wearing their Xmas duds
The shower-cap wearing salt shaker, part of the fine TV tradition
Mr. Smiley uses his sneaky telescoping fork to steal from Denise's plate at the next table
The salt shaker & I get cozy
The lobster brings out Conga Mike's devilish side
Mr. Smiley & Hubert share pick-up tips
One of the many lovely Spirit of Polynesia dancers
Some of the dancers fall under Russell's funky banana-scented spell, while Hubert grudgingly goes along
Hubert imbibes
Hanford approves -- of what, I don't know
Denise among the stars
Inky waits for the countdown
There's no beating sharing NYE with my favorite person
Denise & me
Inky tries her luck with the trick fork
So does Hanford
Martin comes to check on Russell
Once off his shift, Martin changes into his own clothes, which don't look much different from his work clothes
Hanford enjoys not being the designated driver
Mr. Smiley enjoys not being the designated walker
A Christmas menehune
Happy New Year, everyone! I hope everybody had a safe and fun evening!

Looks like one GREAT time was had by all. With the rainfall and road closures, we had to cancel our New Years celebration at TV. I live about 20 minutes from the major flooding area along the Russian River, but wasn't affected except for minor detours around flooded intersections and wineries. After 4 days of downpour and rescuing my carved tikis from a water soaked backyard, we decided we would wait one more year to celebrate New Years at TV with the ohana.
Hope to see you all soon!

Those photos just begin to describe all the great fun we had! The food was great, Martiki's drinks were fan-friggn-tastic, the show was an eyeful, and the folks are always the best!
I am so happy to have friends like these! Love to all for 2006
xoxo
