Last week, I received a combination Christmas card/music CD from my friends Deanna and Andy, who together form the band named 'Cigarbox Planetarium' All of the music and interludes were recorded by these two, and I greatly enjoyed the CD. Their music reminds me a bit of Combustible Edison, and is self-described by them as being lounge-tiki-surf-bachelor pad-spaghetti western-instrumental-pop.
One of the songs on the Christmas CD was a solo/mult-tracked ukulele version of the Little Drummer Boy, titled 'Little Uku Boy' The song has a real peaceful and magical quality to it - a cross between Christmas, Hawaii, and Ravel's Bolero. The song was recently posted as a free mp3 download at the Washington Post website

Those of you who do download music, should download the above, of course.
