Spotted another Aku Aku photo, great shot of the entrance bridge, front doors and Eli Moai flanking to the right.

And left too Dusty. He carved 7 total. Big and small.

Saw this posted on the Vegas Craigslist back in 2014
(Not sure why I didn't post here)
As soon as it was up
It was gone
Wonder where they ended up

Ben- think these really from the Aku-Aku?
Did he make em this size?

To bad he had em held in place by putting concrete all around it.....

Hang10,

Very cool photos, amazing to see those Aku Aku Tikis in the wild! Here is a photo of one of them outside the Aku Aku entrance.

Also shown in the photos posted by Bamboo Ben.

It looks like they had about 1/3 of the Tiki planted in concrete which is a shame.

Here is a story on Eli carving the Tikis for the Aku Aku (among others).

I didn't know that Eli carved the Tikis for the Outrigger in New Orleans.

I found this plan of the existing layout from 1963. It was included in a 1964 proposal to add an addition to the Stardust.

January 21, 1961. Of course Ren Clark opened the Polynesian Village in Fort Worth in 1960 and had an extensive home Tiki bar.

Thanks for this one DC. I don't think I have it in my " Box of Eli".
