I just found this wonderful place that offer free ukulele practice for novice players. I'm new and I am finding it really easy to figure out how to play. It's held every other Tuesday night from 7:30PM till 9:30PM. Here is the web link to where it's held http://www.ponowaiwai.com/.

Hey Tikitatt,
I started playing the uke about 6 months ago and I've been to the Tuesday night gigs a couple of times. Island Bazaar also hosts an uke jam on Thursday nights as well, although right now it's tentative since the owner, Shirley is out for a while.
Anyhoo, hope to see you sometime.
