Can anyone identify this weird carving? |

I bought this rather strange carving recently, but am unsure whether it's Polynesian or not. It didn't cost a great deal, so I thought I'd take a chance on it.
Anyone ever seen anything similar?

Ah yes that looks like a statue of "Dogon" the dark god of the "Old Ones", you should watch out for reptile looking swarthy strangers following you down the street, Oh and avoid water and underground places.

...but it ain't Marquesan, that's for sure. Some Phillipino version of a Tiki? Dunno....
