It would be cool to have as a sub-site or feature of tiki central!

I was going to suggest that. I love using the Wayback Machine to look at old websites of yore.

I definitely took this great site for granted.

I've bookmarked the ref site above for what's left of Arkiva Tropika, just thinking all the time & effort it took to put the original site together.

Has anyone conversed with Mimi about reviving Arkiva
Tropika as a pay-for-access site? I can't because I don't
know her, but a number of you evidently do.

I take it no one was able to pursue this, or pursue it with any result. It was a great and incredible resource. I don't know if the passing time may have made it any more possible, but add me to those who would love to see it back up and would contribute to the restoration.

Doc, I did talk to her about her site. It's been so long that I can't accurately recall what she said but what I seem to remember was being that Arkiva was no longer on a server she wouldn't be able to just restore it and would need to be rebuilt. I don't remember if she said that she still has all the images scanned (but I think she may have) and she has since sold much of her collection. She didn't lose her love of tiki/tropical design but she had to make some changes for herself.

The Internet Wayback Machine has a fair amount of the site from what I recall when I did done searches early in 2016.

The Wayback Machine, what would we do without it.
