Anyone have any info on the opening date for the Mahiki? I'll be in London in late December and would love to check it out!

Good to see so much progress. I'm really looking forward to visiting at the end of the month. Save a Mai Tai (or 3) for me!

I like the lighting a lot. Sort of modernized, isn’t it? Great!

Here's some more spy pics to keep you going...
I got to design all the branding for this project and once the Mahiki is open I'll share the work I did.
Thanks to Cheekytiki for getting me aboard.

Wish somebody in New York would get their act together and do up a place like that.

Before it opens properly,I would just like to add a bit of history on the Mahiki and its well known Adress at No.1 Dover Street, in Mayfair, in London.
It's working name whilst in it's first stages of evolution was "Tahiti Joes" which has a very interesting story to it, and is still very much part of "Mahiki" as it stands with its new name.
Sir Joseph Banks, Bt, KCB, FRS
(1743-1820)
Naturalist and patron of science
Joseph Banks was the only son of a wealthy land-owning family and shortly after inheriting his family's fortune in the early 1760's he chose to pursue this passion in Botany and Natural History to the full.
When the Royal Society was successful in initiating Captain Cook's 1768 expedition to Tahiti, Banks obtained permission from the Admiralty to join the venture. .
On the 13th April 1769 ‘The Endeavour’ landed in Tahiti, where Banks collected specimens over the next 3 months that he spent with the Islands Natives.
Banks, Cook and the Endeavour crew returned to England slowly and landed on July 13, 1771.
On arrival he returned to London to report his findings to the Royal Society, and story has it ,he stayed at No1 Dover St , where he entertained the wealthy with stories of his travels and plied them with the wonderful libations he concocted from Naval Rum and the Botanical Specimens he brought back.
Through these stories he earned the nickname “Tahiti Joe”and just maybe he was the unwitting inventor of the first Tiki drinks….
