Honorable mention to Little Lost Tiki for his persistence and endless creativity, Kirby for putting up with all the abuse (even though he didn't submit a flyer), and Chongolio who created a fun, fabulous flyer even though he didn't qualify for a prize!
Boris has chosen a Forbidden Island mug as his prize, and since I still have a couple of those left, Polynesiac has a choice of a mug or t-shirt.

WOW...second place!!! I can't say that I'm not a little surprised. THanks for all the fun and the votes!!! (maybe I should make this a full time gig?)
I betcha I coulda got first place if I included more people on the flyer...and you're right about squid not having glasses in the drawing. It was a little hard to identify him without the specs! It would have been spot on if I included them!!!
BUT at least I was a contendah...

They say "pictures are worth a thousand words" and this one speaks VOLUMES!!! (just w/o words...so u dont hafta reed it)

I hope you know that I upgraded my technology specifically for this flyer, thankyouverymuch. I used Sharpie 2.0.1. Photoshop is so...bourgeois
I think I'm going to go post this flyer in the "free downloadable tikicentral prints" over in creating...
I think DB should get an honorable mention, just for being brave enough to photoshop in a gun anywhere near that adorable ball of fluff. that flyer alone makes me want to drop everything and go!

Okay Tiki People, here's another contest since I still have one Forbidden Island mug left.
The Contest
Using the tune from a well-known song, write new lyrics about Kirby’s Birthday and Tiki Night at the Tonga Hut. Only one verse and a chorus (or two verses if there is no chorus in the song) are required! No need to put lyrics to the guitar and drum solos! The lyrics must mention the following information:
- February 24th
- The Tonga Hut
- Tiki Night
- Kirby’s birthday
The Deadline
Entries must be posted on this thread by 3:00pm PST, Wednesday, 2/21.
The Judging Criteria
Basically, I’ll choose whatever I like for whatever reason I like it! Also, if I don't know the original song, you won't win, so make it something I'm sure to be familiar with. It’s my thread, I get to do what I want!
The Catch
The winner must be present at the Tonga Hut on February 24th to collect his or her prize. No proxies will be allowed. Be there, or forfeit your prize!

I'm jealous of everyone that had President's Day off yesterday. I had to work, so this is my entry into the contest. It was very nice of JenTiki to give us non-photoshop people a shot at a FI mug. (Um...this is called getting sympathy and suckin up to the Judge).

I think we'll stick with your first entry as your contender so far. This last one is interesting, but I know nothing of "Papa Roach" and the rules clearly state that I must know the song. But keep sending them in, you never know what might strike my fancy!
