Okay, he's another shot at the FI Mug. And I'm still trying for the sympathtic vote from the judge. I don't have internet access at home, because I've been in the process of moving. So under fear of getting terminated at work -- I'm posting this when I should be working!

To the tune of Madonna's Material World

Some boys kiss me, some boyís hug me
I think theyíre okay
If they donít give me a proper Mai Tai
I just walk away

They can beg and they can plead
But they canít see the light, thatís right
Cause the boy with the hard tiki
Is always Mr. Right, cause we:

Living in a Tiki World
And I am a Tiki Girl
You know itís Tiki Night at the Tonga Hut
And Iím a Tiki Girl

Itís Kirbyís birthday at the Tonga Hut
And thatís alright with me
If he canít raise my interest than I
Have to let him be

Some boys try and some boys lie but
I donít let them play
Only boys who collect Tiki Mugs
Make my rainy day, cause they are

Living in a Tiki world
Living in a Tiki World

Kirbyís birthday may come and Kirbyís birthday may go
And that all right you see
Tiki Mugs have made me rich
And now theyíre after me after me, cause

Itís Tiki Night at the Tonga Hut
February Twenty-Fourth
Itís Tiki Night a the Tonga Hut
February Twenty-Fourth

Okay, left to my own devices at work, I'm totally going to get in trouble here.

Do I get extra credit for finding a picture with something that kind-of-sort of looks like a tiki?

To the tune of the Monkees' "I'm a Believer".

I thought Tiki Drinks were only true in Fairy Tales.
Meant for Kirbyís Birthday, but not for me.
Beer was out to get me.
Thatís the way it seemed.

Tiki Night at the Tonga Hut haunted all my dreams.

Then I saw Suzyís face, now Iím a believer.
Not a trace of doubt in my mind.
Iím in love, Iím a believer!

I couldnít leave the Tonga Hut on the 24th if I tried.
I thought Tiki Drinks were more or less a given thing.

Seems the more I paid the less I got.
Whatís the use in tryiní?
All you get is a hang over.

When I needed a Mai Tai I got a beer.

Then I saw Suzyís face, now Iím a believer.
Not a trace of doubt in my mind.
Iím in love, Iím a believer.

I couldnít leave the Tonga Hut if I tried.

Wow!! Some great entries from Sabu and CheekyGirl! Just a little over 2 hours left for any last minute entries gang! So get those creative juices flowing (no Kirby, not on LLT's truck) and let me see what you've got!

Dang. Madonna. CheekyGirl's pulling out the big guns.

Ok. Two can play at that game. Hopefully Jen remembers this song:

I made it to the Tonga Hut
I had a drink or two
Then I had five more
And then I threw up
In Kirby's birthday brew

I was barely alive
Couldn't drive, couldn't ride a bike
But then Atomic Kitty
Yeah, she poured me a drink
That tasted just like...

Like a virgin
Hey! This is a virgin Mai Tai
Like a virgin
There's not enough rum in this
To make a gopher high

She said "I really like you boy
But I see you're fading fast
And Tiki Night is officially over
At a quarter past"

"If you want to stay, at this soiree
On this day; February twenty-four
Then I'm afraid you need
Yeah, you really, truly need,
To drink a few more..."

Like a virgin
Just enjoy the cherry and lime
Like a virgin
You'll sober up
in record time"

I've got one more under my belt.

To the tune of Devo's Whip It!

Crack that whip
Donít give the Tiki Night slip
Step on a crack
Break your momma's back

When a Kirbyís Birthday comes along
You must whip him
Before the drink sits out too long
You must whip him

When his birthday comes along
You must whip him

Now whip him
on February 24th
Tiki Night
get twisted
go forward
move ahead
to the Tonga Hut
it's not too late
Whip him Good

When a good time turns around
You must whip him
You will never live it down
Unless you whip him
No goes home
Until they whip him

I say whip him
Whip him good!

Well Gang, here are the long-awaited results of the final contest ... drum roll please ...

First Place: CheekyGirl for "Whip Him" -- I just love the sentimentality of it!

and ...

First Place: Sabu the Coconut Boy for "Like a Virgin Mai Tai" -- Let that be the last time that phrase is uttered!

That's right, we have a tie! I just couldn't make up my mind and happened to find one more extra mug, so they're both winners!

Honorable mention to CheekyGirl again for "Tiki in the USA" because I really liked the last line!

Another honorable mention to Sabu for "Hey Kirby" because he really is quite fine! (Don't hurt me Polly.)

And finally, honorable mention to Bora Boris for a brave attempt, even though he already has a mug on the way because he won the first contest!

As for LLT ... well ... I just don't even have a witty response for that one.

Thank you all for playing along with my little games! Remember, those of you who won a prize in either contest must collect your prize in person on Saturday night at Damon's or the Tonga Hut! See you all then!

Cheers!
Jen

Thanks for you generosity, Jen. And thanks for helping me fall behind here at work, CheekyGirl with your challenges. I guess I'll see everyone at Damon's and then at the Tonga Hut afterwards.

Sabu

Sabu I think we should proudly drink all our drinks on Sat. in our new FI mugs.
If everyone drinks enough, we just may sing all the songs.

To the Victors go the spoils! Cheers!

I received a late entry in a PM from Dibroc. Unfortunately, it is quite late and therefore does not qualify for a prize, but I like it, so I'm posting it here for all to enjoy!

To the tune of Green Acres:

Tonga Hut is the place to be
to celabrate the birth of Kirby
Mai Tais spread far and wide
keep the beer give it to that bamboo guy

The Tonga Hut is where we like to play
Kirbys gotta pee so get out of his way
I can't wait to have a drink or two
when I get to the bar I hope there's enough room

.....the rum
.....cig's to bum
.....new stools
.....carved with Kirby's tools

let's drink all night
by Monday your feel alright
Tonga Hut we are there
