Description:
This development of homes was built in the foothills of Ventura, California in 1964.
"See the Pacific, the valley and the city, have the hills at your back. All utilities underground-The view is unobstructed" The homes were offered in three styles both exterior and interior to the buyer. The Trade Winds model was the most requested.
During the dedication ceremony Connie, a polynesian cocktail waitress from the Trade Winds Restaurant, in costume, broke a bottle of champagne against the Trade Winds model home.
Ione Keenan NSID, offered her services to each new homeowner to develop their own colors.

The Trade Winds model home
While the other kids hung out with the clown, I hung out with Connie. {Hey, I always liked girls and besides I was almost eleven}
