Anyone ever seen a Gold "The Tikis" mug?

Aloha!

I just came across this awesome "The Tikis" mug in GOLD! Well, the glaze is gold "colored", anyway...




...and a photo using the flash:


I've never heard of these being made in Gold/Yellow/whatever. I know in Duke's book he mentions a rare Red version. Could this be from that same "test batch" of colors other than the standard black? It's definately an original one-layer glaze and not a paint-over job.

If anyone has any info or comments, slap 'em down here, please!

i've got a red 1, a white 1 and a black 1 and there's a pic of a red, white and blue 1 on ooga-mooga, but i've never seen that color. nice score!

Your picture reminded me of a mug I thought I had, so I went looking and found it. Same mug from the Tikis with a "gold-like" glaze. The glaze has some brownish / orangeish highlights......any thoughts?
