Nearing the finish line?
I painted the nails black so they "pop" a bit more.
Thank you for looking!

I have a show at the Basement Gallery in Boise for the months of March/April.
The show opens March 5th (First Thursday).
I will also be hosting "The Vague" along with my coconspirator/collaborators.
The Vague is an art show, a house party, and a balls out freak fest.
The Vague will feature 5 visual artists to include painting, pottery, silkscreen, and multimedia, 3 bands, a jazz and triphop soundscape by DJ Sneakytiki, free Hawaiian food catered by Kanak Attack, wine, Polynesian fire dancers, raffles,
art for sale, T shirts, art making for guests on collaborative canvases and paper, and fun, FUN, fun.
The Vague will be held at the Old Fire House in Boise on Fri. March 6th 6pm -midnight-ish.

Lovin the "old Hawaiian shirt" colors and dreamy/fadey feel of this one....
the Polynesian Woman looks so serene and peaceful!
Stoked you're not afraid to take chances Sneaks!
What's the story of the box in the lower right?
Except for the "BAM"signature real small at the top
it's the only type in the piece...
I'll try to make it down for your show
putting on my hiking boots as we speak!
if i get caught in a snowdrift
i wish you a GRAND and MARVELOUS event!

Yes he is really done!
Punched up the highlights to add depth, added some orange bursts.
Yes she is really done!
Worked on some uniform randomness throughout the piece. Varnished too.
Acrylic on masonite.
PS
LLT,
the box in the hula piece is the box with the Schirman or CocoJoe or HIP hula girl bust shipping to you direct from Hawaii, or the ceramic bust from Ohio, or the Candle maiden from Mississippi.
Dig?

Wow, your art is amazing, your work is very inspiring, I love the colours in the hula girl piece, very hot indeed...
I can see that there is only a subtle difference between the finished tiki guy piece and the unfinished but it really does make it pop out at ya...much respect given to you my friend...
Now where did I put my paint brushes...

Oh Man! The Kanaloa on the reclaimed pallet. . . . . Genius!
Did you gesso or otherwise treat it? or just paint directly on the raw wood? really dig using scavenged or salvaged materials. Man the whole concept of that piece is spot on.

I gessoed the hell out of it, filled most of the cracks betwixt boards with my gesso slathering.
Thanks!
