Winds picking up here in Kumamoto ( Kyuhsu ) at 2:00 p.m. Going to be a hairy evening . Very unusual to get hit with such a powerful typhoon this early in the season . Catch you all on the other side .

We were spared ! The phoon suddenly turned right at Miyazaki and is now heading toward Honshu . All we got was a little peripheral wind and some rain . Lucked out !
