Hollywood used to have a famous one, which closed a long time ago.

Thanks for this info! I have one of these glasses as well, I just thought it was some random 1970s era bar. I'd say the glass has much more cachet now that I know the truth!

I am wondering if that glass is actually not from the porn theater but is instead for a cocktail called the Pussycat. I say this b/c I am in PA and am seeing these glasses frequently, so I wonder how many could have migrated here from Calif. That and b/c on the back of the envelope for Bartenders Whiskey sour mix there is a recipe for a drink called a Pussycat and it says you have to serve it in a Pussycat cocktail glass. (The drink is a frozen whiskey sour basically).

And here it is from a vintage Playboy mag, the drink may have died but the glass lives on.

Found these this morning.
Some Planters Punch glasses. Look to be mint, never used. Anybody know if these are recent creations? Ooga Mooga has a few posted, but unknown mfg.
Also got this vintage ice bucket from Fabcraft. It has all sorts of sayings with cartoons on each panel (ahhhhhh...drunk humor). It also came with the original box.
Paid about $7.00 for all of it.

And a Bar Aid and some vintage bowling cocktail swizzles/forks

I have an 8-piece set of these cool glasses & decided to put them up for sale in my ebay listings this week, if anyone is interested~ please see my 'martiki glasses' post in Tiki Marketplace. They remind me of Austin Powers!

I have been finding tons of barware these days. Found these 4 rocks glasses today and then the 2 other sets of glasses were picked up in San Francisco (amazingly enough) at a thrift.

Liz, I believe those steamboat glasses were mail order. I have a vintage playboy lying around somewhere, and if I can find it I'll post the add! sweet find!
Instant update***
Southern Comfort had these bar or cocktail glasses made by Libbey as early as 1964 as a promotional mail order set. Notice in your photo the bottom riverboat that shows the "SC" for Southern Comfort in the center of the paddle wheel of the riverboat.
They are aqua and 22K gold designs on sturdy clear glass.
I found a quick ad on the net, so there it be!

Here is some of my vintage barware.
Siesta Ware outrigger mugs with the caddy.
Fish bottle openers.
More openers
Stone cold mint MIX'N POUR-O-MATIC made in Japan with the instruction sheet
My favorite vintage Mai Tai rocks glasses with a tapa print.
The "outrigger-o-plenty" about 15" long. I fill this up with snacks for cocktail night.
