I will be going up to the Bay area on Sat the 20th,
and going to the Trader Vics in Emmeryville and Forbidden Island.
and then there is a 3 band surf show in SF. on Sun the 21st at 3 pm.

damn we have to leave on the 26th and we won't get in until the 21st rrrrgh

That's funny, Monica Tiki Goddess and I are coming to see YOU during our upcoming NY trip - our Manhattan tiki crawl with a bunch of East Coast pallies (including our big friend John Mendoza, that guy is hilarious) will start at Waikiki Wallys at end up at Otto's on Monday, December 17 (my wife's bday is Dec 15, the reason for the trip.) While you're at Forbidden Island, try to steal some of their recipes and bring it back to Otto's. I like the drink called the "Saturn".

I was just at Otto's a couple of weeks ago. Had a really good time. The staff were great! I love all their mugs for sell too. I only ended up with the signature mug, but it's the cutest thing ever. Can't wait to get back to NYC and Otto's again.
Oh yeah, I was excited about having the 2:30 AM slice of heaven until I asked exactly what it contained. hahaha
let's just say, I ordered myself another tiki drink!
