No, not shocking really, rather (as previously explained), a misbegotten attempt to "keep up with the times", and as that classified as TIKI DEVOLUTION. And the reason why we here at Tiki Central celebrate and recreate the HEYDAY of Tiki style, which was in the 1950s and 60s.

The sad part is that with so few old tiki establishments left, this is what the general population is exposed to and accepts as being "tiki".
