rare exotica/beatnik clips and king kukulele, taix in echo park BC-Da-Da Tiki Socialite Joined: Aug 14, 2002 Posts: 162 Posted: 2008-02-29 2:30 pm   Permalink February 29, 2008 Dumb Angel Film Block and King Kukulele Taix French Restaurant (Lounge) 1911 West Sunset Boulevard Los Angeles, CA Friday, 10:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. Join Dumb Angel co-editor Brian Chidester and beachcomber comedian King Kukulele for a night of videos, music and ballyhoo. Chidester will start the evening by playing several rare video clips of '50s and '60s exotica-, surf- and beatnik-related material. King Kukulele will follow with his mixture of comedy and exotic ukulele tunes. The last Friday of each month Taix French Restaurant holds its Tiki Night. This is not one to be missed.
