As many of you probably already know. I LOVE SPAM! Hula, you got it right - Spam, Eggs and Rice. Dat's Island Style Brah! They just opened an L&L Hawaiian BBQ here in my town and now I get the pleasure of having Spam Misubi whenever I want.....
There's a SPAM festival next month in Honolulu. Ever been?

I wonder if you REALLY tried Spam.
I will admit that I had poopoo'ed Spam for years (no pun intended)....then I tried Spam Misubi at L&L Hawaiian (http://www.hawaiianbarbecue.com) only about a year ago. It's sushi rice with a slice of grilled Spam, with small wrap of sushi-seaweed......umm, ok, so it doesn't sound appetizing, but believe me it's really good! I got one for a friend who supposidely hated Spam, and she loved it!
I even bought a can-o-spam, did the scrambled egg & Spam mix and the family really liked it!
Just my 2 coconuts worth...

Oh man, www.spam.com is beautiful! I think I might have to treat myself to some Spamwear, maybe a nice orange tee or ball cap...suh-weeeet!

Being of Islander heritage, I've eaten SPAM as long as I can remember and growing up, I could never understand why everybody was so grossed out by it. But, I think the thing that scares people off is the the way SPAM looks straight out of the can. The flavor is really brought out when it is grilled. It's definitely one of my most favorite foods.
