Jeff Berry's mixology tomes more and more prove to be the new ambassadors of Tiki culture. Recently a bar opened in Copenhagen that was inspired by his work, as can be seen in the cocktails served there, among them even the Sven-Tiki (I thought nobody mixes that one anymore):

The interior is a modern minimalist take on the Tiki Bar, more like many of the stylish new European cocktail bars a la Mixology Magazine than classic Tiki, but they did a really fine job, I think, and their menu design (with a touch of Tiki Modern) and drink presentation is very promising (scroll down):

very impressive images and artwork! if their mixology matches the care of the imagery, they ought to do quite well.

Wow, this is a great looking place with an impressive drinks list.
What's Gromit's Grog like?
I see it listed under world rums and it appears in quite a few of the tiki drinks. Is it similar to anything available in the US (or is it here and I have not found it yet?)

looks like a week end in the viking land for me soon. I love their bird design logo.
They also have a great shopping page, where they sell mugs, earings... cool. http://www.intoxica.dk/shop.asp

Here is an updated link I stumbled upon, with a great looking downloadable drink menu, as well as some high resolution jpegs.

I came across a group for Intoxica on facebook. They are looking for a new location. Hopefully they will find one and reopen. Their website currently says:
Hello and thank you for visiting the Intoxica website.
Intoxica is moving to another and more exotic location in downtown Copenhagen. We'll keep you posted about what's going on.
In the meantime if you're feeling a sudden urge for Gromit's liquid skills, please visit our new exclusive cocktail bar called 1105.
