They reckon that we Cantabrians are one eyed ... . so I spose its right for a Westlander to spot the onelegged Moai .... eh Tama .

Kia ora folks ,
here is another sort of spinning wood.
On this Island ( the Mainland ) it is known as a Karara (Lizard).

In the wee (North) Island , it's called a Purerehua (Moth)
The wood is Rimu


On another , Ireland , it is know as An Clairín Búirthe (The Board that Roars).
This one is Oak

a winged platter , Appalachian Oak , about 6 inches square .
