Just a thread for anyone extending their South FL trip to relax and recover a bit post Hukilau (or any locals!) Feel free to post here or drop me a personal message.
In years past we've been known to meet with Tikiphiles for a southernmost Mai Tai or other such fun.

We were down before Hukilau, if you get a chance, look up the "Rum Bar" on Duval. It's on the South side of Truman, so it's on the quiet side. They made a yummy rum punch, and had a good selection of rum. We found it our last night there and wish we had found it earlier.

Mahalo!
Sounds like a place I should certainly spend some time!
Guess I forgot to add, advice and 'go here!' posts are more than welcome on this thread as well.
We've been through the Keys several times before, but are always on the lookout for recommendations, good adventures, things either off the beaten path, or that we might otherwise overlook.

Be sure to feed the fish! My favorite place is Robby's just outside Islmarada. Its a total tourist trap but they have the best setup for a quick "in and out". Last time I was there, they had at least 100+ 100+lb. tarpon wandering around the docks!!
Also, if you are in Key West, check out the Kino Sandal Factory just off Duval close to Captain Tony's. Very comfy sandals made and sold only in Key West. BTW - Captain Tony's Pirate Punch is the bomb!!

The Rum Bar is a great little hideaway. They have a decent selection. I recommend the 12 y/o Cubaney.
Cheers from the Rum Bar back in May with Chip and Andy.
For great eats and atmosphere in Key West check out Blue Heaven. Dining with cats and chickens running around your feet cant be beat.

We recommend Leaning Tower Of Pizza in Key Largo for the baked Zitti and the garlic rolls (with a layer of cheese). We ate there twice.

When we saw the subject line on this topic we thought it was about this:

This was our very first Hukilau (we met you Chip and Andy but were not 'formally' introduced) and in a fantastic portent of things to come, we saw this glass on eBay right before flying out to Ft Lauderdale, so we bid on it:

... and came back after the Hukilau to find it waiting for us on our front porch...
