really hankering for a mai tai, and about to pull the trigger on some TV mixes meself. is the "ready to drink" cocktail different from the original recipe "not ready to drink; need to add lime juice and rum" mai tai mix?? the bottle certainly looks different. been on the east coast too long, never had a real TV mai tai in its native environs, but the mix does get good reviews for being chemically reconstituted.

They are both full of chemicals not known to create well-balanced Mai Tais, regardless of the fresh lime and quality rum. Honestly, if you've got fresh lime and quality rum, just skip the TV mix(es), and make a daiquiri.

If Jules were alive today he would probably sue his company for misrepresentation and disgracing the good name of Trader Vics that he spent so many years building into a synonym for supreme high quality.
ANY product bearing the TV brand should be approached with extreme caution and skepticism.
