in case you haven't heard, Walt Disney World announced that they are closing Pleasure Island on Sept. 28th. That includes The Adventurer's Club. Please sign the petition to save the one of the best works of Imagineering in the last 25 years.

The close of The AC (along with ALL the clubs of PI) has been in the offing for several years, but it seems firm plans have finally been made by the Upper Muckity-Mucks. The actors have been given official notice of a hard date. As much as it hurts to say (Oh, and it hurts!!), there will (likely) be no way to save it at its present location.
BUT, WDW is (supposedly) developing a "night spot" area outside of AK, which IMHO The AC would make a great cornerstone. Can we start a petition for that?
Tofu Joe and I are planning to make a (at least one) pilgrimage before the end of September. What if we coordinate and have "Tiki Central Gives a Last Hurrah to The Adventurer's Club"?

That is a shame they are planning on closing that.
I am definitely interested in going there before it closes!
