The Smokin' M's are playing the annual luau for the San Onofre Surf Club. The Luau will feature the Smokin' Menehunes, King Kukulele, Bill Tapia and Leilani's Hula Halou. Music starts at 3:30 at historic 'Old Man's' Beach in San Onofre.

This was not really a tiki central type event, in that it was a private party for a bunch of surfers. When we got there, many people were sitting around strumming ukeleles, and kicking back under the tent. The weather was perfect, a little humid but slightly overcast. King Kukulele was awesome as usual, and so were the dancers. The food was excellent. A nice afternoon beach barbeque/Luau!! The downside was that you needed to join the San Onofre surf club to attend the event, so therefore it was not really something anybody could go to. But it's nice that in this day and age people still have Luaus!!
