Finally out and available, Pete Moruzzi's "Havana before Castro" is a must for any rum-happy TCer. Not only does it contain several Cuban cocktail recipes by Beachbum Berry...
...with glamorous photographs of the end results by yours truly...
...but also many vintage images of rummies living it up in Havana, similar to this one:
You get to see how unchanged this mixology Mecca , La Floridita, has remained:
a Havana institution that inspired Trader Vic:
Cocktail culture once reigned supreme in Havana...
...and there is no better place to imbibe tropical concoctions than in the courtyard of the Hotel Nacional:
Somehow, the climate allows for a steady diet of rum and cigars, without causing a hangover the next day..
...and which city can boast a Museum of Rum!
It is only too bad that the bars' customers do not look as stylish anymore...
...but this period can be re-imagined now with the help of "HAVANA BEFORE CASTRO"!

I was wondering who'd shot those drink photos, fantastic job!
Peter has posted a Classic Mojito Recipe which features one of your best photos (so thinks I). Tasty recipe, too.
Great job!
