Hey, no RSVPs!?!
OK, how bout this, and remember, this is free!, Kitten on the Keys will perform on piano and Koz* will be playing ukulele.
*Koz is now known in Tiki circles as the guy who got shut down by the Alameda Police for rockin the uke too loud during a von Stroheim/Viharo backyard Luau. He was also sited recently working the Tiki Oasis booth at TO8.

Coco Loco and I will be there, most definitely. Sounds like a great way to follow up Tiki Oasis - thanks, Otto!
Yeah, for the amount of grumbling that people do around here about the various closings of TV franchises, you'd think that folks would be jumping at the chance to go an event like this, at their flagship location, to hang with fellow tiki peeps and reminisce about this past Oasis, with free entertainment and half price drinks to boot! C'mon, peeps, whaddya waiting for? Let's go!!!

If I lived in the bay area, I would so be there.
Hope it turns out well.

I'll go if you bring me an Oasis 08 t shirt. Hell, I'll even pay for it.
Okay, I may still go even if you don't bring me the shirt, but damnit I DO really want a shirt!!!

SandyTrunks and I I will be there. I am bringing an edited TO8 highlights video/DVD to watch. I swear I get a contact high after editing this stuff! Paring down 10 hours of video into 30 minutes of quick highlights. Got some great, funny stuff of room parties, 1649, 1749, 1128 and 1849, Martin's Zombie Symposium, Robert Drasnin, costume contest, along with other short clips of a blur of a weekend. If I hadn't seen it on tape I wasn't even sure I was there! I would be happy to send the folks who hosted those room parties the entire video footage if they are interested. Just PM me. See ya on Saturday at Trader Vics!
