They've all got melons.

They really are beautifully done; what are the dimensions?

To all those who have contacted me, the PM responses I've gotten so far have been great! I'll probably have most of them sold here on TC. For those who have asked - The paintings are approximately 16' x 20' and I'll be selling them using PayPal.

Believe it or not I've asked Song Shen to work a little more on them to even out the skin tones. Working on velvet is notoriously difficult (his background is oil on canvas). I want the paintings to be as good as we can get them so it will be a couple more weeks before they will be ready. I will be posting new pictures of them at that time.

Not to waste precious T.C. server space, but here are the 'freshened up' velvets to be sold. I'm also showing a couple of McPhee interpretations not for sale(so says lawyers - and out of respect). Most of these have already been reserved, but PM if you're still interested and we'll talk.

Tributes to Charles McPhee

Okolehao,
I received my Girl with Pink Lei today.
She is very beautiful and I like her a lot.
Thanks for offering such nice artwork regardless of whether the pieces are for sale or not.
I really enjoy looking at them all, but especially the Charles McPhee tribute pieces on the website over and over.

Here are a couple more Song Shens that will be up soon.

BTW: BIG thanks to Bamboo Ben. He got 'Melon Girl' and said it was going to be installed at Frankies Tiki Bar in Las Vegas. I couldn't ask for more.

I was PM'd asking this:

"Oko,
Are these new paintings going up on Ebay or are you offering first here?"

Answer: TCers will always get first choice.

Why are these on the old art show thread? I'm afraid people might be passing on looking at them because this is a "dead" thread.

Oko: You'd probably get more traffic if you started your own thread on Marketplace with a title like "Totally great velvet paintings for sale."

Nice stuff!
Buzzy Out!
