Aloha everybody,
I wanted to share a painting I just published and released at Diamond head gallery on Maui.
Its called Coconut Wireless.
It big 48"X60" on hand spun aluminum and all painted with airbrush and brush with solvent base colors.
Here's a few process pix with. It took me almost three months to complete.
The influences came from my 15 year old teenage daughter, can you tell?
Coconut wireless is the Hawaiian network hehehe.
Hope you like it?
Aloha Dennis Mathewson

Very whimsical and rather large! What's up with the hand spun aluminum? Too hard to find canvas off the mainland?

Spectacular use of the airbrush and the colors are dreamy and foggy-very cool. Call me crazy if I'm wrong but didn't I see you as a guest on Myth Busters some time ago?

Thanks for the replies everybody. I do most my art on metal or aluminum. It has a magic to the backgrounds that way. With automotive clear-coats these things will last forever.
Prints are sold through http://cosmictiki.com or contact me direct. I have canvas and metal prints of most my art. Sold through Diamond head gallery and Thor gallery in Hawaii.
Aloha Dennis
