I just found a line of fine tablesettings with a hula theme at Fishs Eddy:

at US$22.00 for a dinner plate or US$12.00 for a cerial bowl it's probably more expensive than your current dinnerware, but cheaper than some of your mugs.
Since I'm not currently living in New York City, I can't say anything about the weight or apparent quality of the plates, but they look like they'd pass in any Tiki restaurant.
Nice graphics, and Fishs Eddy's supposed to have a good name in the business.

I've seen them in person, and they are Super-Cute, good-quality, but Super-$$$.
