Well, there are those that theorize that the "Cannibals" are actually "Birthers": The big belly one being pregnant, than the two others giving birth seated. Like it is done in many indigenous societies.
According to historians, the Tahitians practiced infanticide - but not cannibalism. The Marquesans did, though. These Tikis are Marquesan in design. I am sure of that.

Never thought about the birthing theory, makes sense.
Here is a version of the three Cannibals from the Luau in Canada that seems to go with that idea.
