She informed me this painter was the "father of velvet paintings" and was named Leeteg.
Wait?, what??, huh???... you bought a Leeteg!! Did I tell you guys I have the coolest wife on the planet!

Found this today. It's a blonde nude done on red velvet. I could live without the French provincial frame, but I love the painting.
Couldn't seem to catch it in the right lighting, either came out to dark or to brite..

I think the frame is very 007ish/ Secret Agent/ Bachelor Paddish. I dig it. Great find!
Here's Mine! I inherited it from Dad. He got it in 1970 and it got lost into a closet after he marries the trophy wife. It re-emerged and here it is. Another is also here and I'm searching for an original somewhere.

This velvet girl has definitely been around. Butshe donned my Fathers Bachelor Pad and is now hanging in mine. Yep, she's a B-Pad chick to be sure!

Another villager painting. This one has great detail and was done well. Artist signed F.T Chung, no date.

I have something by F.T. Chung as well (or Cheung?), framed by Man Fong of Hong Kong, in the mid-20th century. It's not velvet though... it seems to be some kind of linen, stretched across the frame and bound. I found it at our local flea market in central NY state in 2008. Did you ever find out more about the artist? I search for the name then and found nothing... until I searched again today and found your post here.
Pictures of it:

Hello,
My name is Rob Lavin I am a producer on the A&E hit reality series Storage Wars, and well I have an interesting dilemma. Recently one of our buyers purchased a storage locker that held a velvet art piece by Bill Erwin and I have a lot of difficulty finding any type of contact information for him or his estate. We are hoping to air the piece on national TV and have it appraised. We come across a lot of art work in these storage lockers but obviously this one is a special piece from a very specific and exciting genre. I thank all of you in advance and hope that you may help me show this incredible piece of art to the world.
Best wishes,
Rob lavin

The Velveteria Museum of velvet paintings is probably your best bet for getting info about your velvet painting.

Those paintings are based on a photo by Harrison Marks of Vicky Kennedy / Margaret Nolan.
Speaking of James Bond she was the credits model for Goldfinger and in the movie as well. According to a website photos from that "Four Poster" bed set appeared in Kamera No.66 1965.
Since the only scan of the image the paintings were based on I found online came from playing cards it is probably where the artists got the image as well.
I uploaded a huge scan of a different card with the same image to my site in addition to others from the set.

These were found on a website Margaret Nolan - Vintage Erotica Forums. (I'm sparing the reader from a great many porn ads by not linking it - but its an easy web search)
The film is actually a horror spoof featuring a countess checking into a hotel
run by a hunchback. (Fairly easily found streaming online i just watched it on xhamster, not linked for same reason - a downloadable version is also on the above forum's last post page for the truly interested Goldfinger enthusiast.)

Well Thank You Martian Tiki!
We found the original of the Woman I have been in lust with since around 1970!
The Painting I posted was purchased by my Father back when he was a Swank Divorcee livin the swingin life. I was 13 years old at the time and reading his PlayBoy magazines and dreaming of the day when I would have my turn. When Dad married, the painting was the first thing to go. (Dad gave it to me) Next the Corvette, Then the Dirt Bikes, the Pool Table and me too!
You see, I was whisked off to California against my will without a chance to say goodbye. I called my best friend and told him to take the Velvet Painting as his own. His Mom would not have it in her house and it was stuffed into the back of a closet in 1972. And there it remained until earlier this year when my Best Friend (Same Guy, we've been friends for sometime now) told me he found it. 40 years and Dad's divorce, it is back in my hands again. And at last I know the source!
Of course I knew it was one of those cheap reproductions done in the Velvet Painting Factories of Juarez Mexico and there are probably a thousand or more like it, but I knew there I had seen too much of her to not know there was an original.
Thanks Bro, The images don't really fit on the Tiki Erotica Thread, but there are some damn good vintage pics there.

I have a rare painting by KASE AOTEAROA. I was wondering if anybody could tell me anything about this artist or the pricing of his paintings.
