I'm enjoying 1/2 of a "Reverb Crash" using Coruba and Cruzan Aged white.
I cut the recipe in half so I can have more of them before they dilute away.

A slightly less sweet version of Rumdood's recipe:

2 oz white rum
0.75 oz lime juice
0.25 oz simple syrup
1 tsp white grapefruit juice
1 tsp maraschino liqueur

Made some Painkillers this weekend. Finally bought some Coco Lopez. Also made some Emily Specials for my lovely wife's birthday. That is rum, strawberries, sugar and OJ topped with champagne. Made some 1944 Mai Tais for a select few with Plantation and Depaz.

Started an Instagram account since I have fun posting my drinks. ThirstyThursdaysSD if anyone wants to check it out. Just started but it is bound to get more posts on a regular basis. Trying to give more life to the craft cocktail scene in San Diego. I also will be posting about bars wherever I go, but it should help people know where to go for good drinks in San Diego.

Not right now, but last night. It was a very late night with a tikiphile friend and a tiki newbie at my home bar. We started with a Mai Tai, then sampled some of the special stuff in my bar. Then he requested another Mai Tai. More sampling followed - he loved Anniversario Pampero rum, as do I. Then we finished with two rounds of Viking Fogcutters which everyone agreed were very refreshing.

I think everyone slept very soundly when they finally crawled home.

In a Daquiri mood. Working backwards with La Florida Daquiri #4 and now La Florida Daquiri # 3 from Potions of the Caribbean. All with Havana Club of course. Very nice on this hot night.
