Welcome to TC Hula Lula! She's gorgeous! Self portrait? Is that ceramic clay? What's the plan? Inquiring minds need details

Thanks for the welcome MadDogMike!
Thanks Ungabunga and Grog!
So glad you like it
I wish it was a self portrait, although
I would have a very large head.
I must have had Betty Boop in my subconscious
when I made her!
It's ceramic clay, the plan is to fire and glaze it
hopefully she will survive the firing.

Welcome!
This is off to a great start. The shapes are wonderful.
The hair and flower details look terrific.
I love her button nose and puckered lips.
I look forward to seeing it when it's completed.

Thanks so much, everyone!
Ocea Otica, I fire my stuff at Ceramics Castle
in Burbank. They are friendly and really careful with firing.

So glad you are starting to post.

Your sculpture is phenomenal, I can't wait to see what else you come up with. Top notch work, at least.

Hello!
Had a great time at Kona yesterday.
The art was amazing!!
Thanks Rob! I really appreciate your comments.
Here is the finished hula girl.
I'm still learning how to do glazing
The details came out a little faint so I darkened
them with enamel. Hope you like!
