The bar is awesome in itself, and the whole room is perfect. Great work!

Big projects are lots of fun. Lots of depth and planning to the process.

Very kind comments. Thanks for looking.

The craftsmanship is amazing! I'd almost be afraid to set my drink on that!

We want to thank you again Derek for our NEW bar. You did an AWESOME job!!!
It was a learning process that's for sure and some super hard work. All worth it.

The bar is located in the kitchen in the perfect area - few steps and you are right outside the backyard for more entertaining.
The speakers are hidden very well on top of the shelf where all the tikis are. It's great to be sitting at the bar listening to music and do a little painting and just escape for a little while as you are having a drink.

Here are some pictures of the process before it got to where it is now.

things already taken down and getting it ready

5 layers of wall paper - the steamer worked wonders - its the only way to go.

then the primer went on and a little patch work here and there

and BAM the color of green on the walls

What a transformation is all I can say. We LOVE IT!!!!!

Many congrats on a job well done! I'm curious how big the bar is. I would like to try my hand at building one in my backyard tropical paradise myself but I don't know how long, wide, deep or tall a bar like that should be. Can you supply some of the finer details?
