Man that is a whole lot of tools  I am envious! I agree with surfntiki. Can't wait for the tusk & megladon tooth arrangement to be finished. What's the piece between them, fossiised wood or vertabrae?

Thanks coconutzo,, that strange looking piece is a slab cut from a Macadamia Nut tree given me by Aloha Tiki in Ft Lauderdale and it id burnished and polished on a hard buff..

Oh... okay, now I see it. It looked so old with the coloration on it I just assumed you brought out one of the jewels out of your treasure chest. Mac nut huh, never would have guessed. They're usually light colored, like off-white. Sweet!

Heres a bit of a Hey-Tiki for Helz out of Turkish Purple jade. The eye didn't finish out right but I left it in so you can tell what it will kinda be like.

Sweet Ben! Never heard of purple jade before. Does have a bit of an alien look with the color, eyes, and fingertips  Maybe there was some ET contact in New Zealand?

The alien vibe is quite apt actually; the Maoris believed, quite literally, that the (hei)Tiki was a depiction of the original Ancestor, who arrived on earth from the stars bringing with him the three baskets of knowledge upon which their culture is based. Where else would a 'little green man' with 3 fingers and large eyes come from? 
Those fingers are superb Ben (ditto teeth/butt/material/everything else), are they 'undercut' slightly? Stone loves you!
