I have seen many announcements of great Hawai'ian musicians who have played at the Borders bookstore, Fair Oaks Blvd, in Sacramento. This Saturday, May 23, a good friend of mine, Faith Ako, will be performing there starting at 7:00pm. Last year she won the "Best New Hawai'ian musician" along with her first CD winning the "Best Traditional Hawai'ian Album of the Year". She just released a new CD and it is great! I happen to be visiting family in the Sacto area this weekend, so I will be making it to Faith's performance. It's free! But get there early for a good seat. Mahalo! Hope to see you there!
