The new Tikiyaki Orchestra CD! Goto get it! Goto get it!
I finally ordered and received the ol'"StreoExotique" a few days ago (a great buy!). It's a bit expensive to get these all the way up here in Quebec but worth every penny. Anyway I think I should have waited and ordered both of them together... Oh well. Paypal, here I come.

High praise coming from a top, pro bass player (Dartin Menny)!!!

Yes, these guys are simply one of the most awesome bands of any genre going today. I liked them the first time I heard them and knew they would be a smash hit!
I like the whole concept, and the amount of work Jim must have put into this project is staggering, but well worth the effort. It's consistent quality each and every time, which is hard to do.

Every musician in the band is superb. I mean everyone! But I have to say my favorite is Squid. The guy is an amazing drummer, and I don't mind saying so, (even though he has made it very clear he does not think much of MY playing!!!)

Thanx Dartin...high praise indeed.

Lucas....thanx ! I'm pretty darn sure Squid thinks highly of your playing. It's that BONG character your consort with.....now that's another story.

Yeah, I did ordered from Tikiyakiorchestra.com. You're right, US and CAN shipping is the same. After studying my Paypal receipt and my credit card transactions resume, it came up to 16$ US, that means 18.33$ in canadian currency.
After thinking about it, I guess it's pretty fair for such a quality product.

I get a lot of stuff from the US and shipping rates goes from 6$ up to 25$+ for books and CDs. Then you've got to add provincial taxes and customs fees, then after that you get the canadian currency exchange rates that can go from 15% up to more than 30% (!). That why I can't order as much mugs, aloha shirts and other tiki stuff as much as I would like... (sigh)

Guess I'm way off the topic now...

Bummer Mythiki....I know mailing a CD to Canada is the same price, but I know that other, heavier stuff, like our Jungle Jetpack was a little more. On the upside...you don't have to pay when you go to the doctor...so I guess those Canadian taxes are there for a purpose.

Two ugly words for you probably NOT in your vocabulary : Blue Cross

We don't pay for health care but we sure get to wait 10 hours in emergency rooms and many months on the waiting list to see a specialist. Not mentioning the family doctors shortages.

By the way, on the tikiyakiairways.com site, in the store page, it says 18$ international for the new CD. OK, but on it's right, in small white types it says "only 10$ when purchased with flight". What does that exactly mean? Mahalo for your help.

Whatchoo talkin' bout Lucas? It's your twisted personality(ies) that disturbs me, not your bass playing!
