20th Century props is going out of business and selling off rattan, tiki, Eames era, modern and bunch of other stuff from movies over the years...Too rich for my blood at $1500 but I really liked this six strand chair from the Godfather movie:

Harvey Schwartz has been at it for along time.Sign of the times with the economy.
I will have to go see his place before it closes. He also provided the set design
for the Golden Girls show and used his fan arm rattan chairs.Harvey had a rattan
and tropical decor store on Melrose in the 1970's as well as put out the "Rattan"
book. Here is a pic of Harvey Schwartz in the middle at one of the Aloha Cruz shows.
Look at the ten band couch in the back ground.Very sad day for Hollywood and set
decorators that have used his services for more then 40 years.
Thanks for the post and the heads up Tikihai .

There are so many items I would kill to own that are housed there.

That place is so amazing.

Just an FYI .Harvey has probably one of the biggest collections of rare vintage
rattan furniture you will ever see under a 125,00 sq. foot where house roof.
If you have the time you should try and pay a visit to North Hollywood and take
a look before it all goes on the chopping block next month.
