I found this artist who performed in the Manu-Kai, from his website, www.vamosconcharlie.com he talks about his begginings as a profesional pianist in 1957in "Beatnik" bars... (Text in Spanish, translation needed)
Mis Inicios
Pianista profesional desde al año de 1957 alternando mis estudios. Mis primeros trabajos fueron en los llamados Café-Cantantes: “Beatniks”, Pau-Pau, El Zotano, La Rana Sabia, Schiafarello, Sinoe, Punto de Fuga, Coyote flaco y El Convento inagurándolos a su tiempo.
Nombre Artístico: “El Caballero del Ritmo” (1957 - 1960).
En 1960 fundé mi propio grupo musical: “The Showmaker’s Trio” en el Hotel Bamer - Hotel San Francisco

He trabajado como cantante y entretainer en innumerables bares y restaurantes de México y Estados Unidos como:
