Billy Shire Fine Arts in Culver City is holding a Shag Swap Meet on Sat Sept 12th!
Check out the link below, tons and tons of amazing Shag paintings, prints, mugs etc. Might have to use up some of my airline miles on this one! One of Shag's most amazing paintings is for sale for $60,000... wow.

This is everything that is wrong with the art world!!!!!! A lot of those prints are Sold Out on the record,but the fact is the gallery was sitting on them the whole time.....I own one of the polly bagged originals from conspicuous consumption and called in one week before the Sold Out show to grab one. At that point most of my choices were all ready gone. Were they Sold? or did the gallery cherry pick and now they are selling them because they are tight on cash?
This is a very shady deal and should make you think about the Shag that is on your wall...........Is it rare? is it sold out? did they sell 50% and sit on the rest for a later date............
Sorry for sounding so pissed,but this practice sucks for collectors.......
I have purchased several pieces from this gallery in the past,but I will never buy or refer them again!!!!!!!!!

instead of pure LOVE...
and they ask why us artists dislike most art dealers....
