We had our week of Italian food, that I like to call "Tiki Italiano"
sure what does it have to do with Tiki? well we ate it in the "Atomic Tiki Lounge" so there!
Started off the week by making Italian Meatball's
Gotta have the Garlic Bread with that!
Spaghetti & Meatball's, hey whatsa matter you!
Next night it's Bow-tie Pasta "Farfalle" with Pesto & Chicken Sausage
Then we end the week with a classic Meat Lasagna
I hope this falls under some kind of pasta diet or we gonna have a heart attack!
Gratzi for looking.

Now thatsa lotsa pasta! Those meatballs look great, ATP. We had Chicken carbonara last night.
Some foodie friends twisted our arms over the holidays to host a Mele Kalikimaka dinner part. The menu.
Some exotic ingredients.
Started off with old-school Chinese spare ribs.
Then home made Lumpia Rolls (like egg roles but better)
Rock Fish katsu
The Kalua Pork slow cooked in Banana leaves.
Served on Hawaiian rolls
Sides included fried rice with Portuguese sausage and Hawaiian-style Macaroni Salad (from L & L)
A full plate!
The bar.
Surf Room Mai Tais.
It was fun!

The secret is in the NOH Chinese BBQ mix - Purple Pork Product!
Don't forget to wear gloves or you will end up with purple hands, trust me on this!

That's funny Dusty - I just saw that stuff at Food4Less last week and bought a package - I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it but it looked good Speaking of looking good, the Italian, the Luau party, and the bowtie pesto are all looking quite tasty!

DC, thanks for the heads-up on the gloves
Char Siu pork with fresh pineapple & bell pepper, stir fried rice, and a delightful beverage made from cola nut extract and high fructose corn syrup.
I used it as a dry rub and it worked well, good flavor and nice color. It could have used some jarred Char Siu sauce as a glaze during the last 5 minutes of grilling to bump up the sweetness a little.

Asian food, challenge......wait for it....accepted!
I will start with Pork filled fried dumplings...made from scratch
Ground pork, ginger, garlic, green onions, soy & sesame oil filling
and a Spicy Ginger dipping sauce.
Char Siu Pork (I don't use the red dye stuff, because I don't want cancer)
marinated over night, then in the oven @ 350 Degrees for 35 min.
Benihana recipe Fried Rice......
and dinner is served....

ATP,
You're supposed to made a cone of ICE for your drink, not a cone of RICE for your plate!
But other than that it all looks damned good!

ATP,
I'd say you stepped up to the Polynesian "plate" and hit one out of the park! That was way to much food for two, you should have called.

hey you guys want something...I just know it!
Could it be..... Homemade "Ramen Soup" ?
Handmade Ramen noodles, with a chicken broth with just a touch of ginger & garlic
fresh veggies, topped with Char Siu pork & jalapeno & Look some more of those dumplings!
Is that what you want?
sure it cost alot more then those freeze dried noodle packs, but it taste a hundred times better...
