I just came across all of these Shag events going on during the first weekend of Modernism Week in Palm Springs. It also looks like it is coinciding with the opening of "Shag the Store" (first I have heard of this) and the opening of "The Tropics" at Caliente Tropics. Here are the basics.
Shag: Arrival Palm Springs
M Modern Gallery, 2500 N. Palm Canyon Dr., Palm Springs
Feb. 12, 8pm - 11pm.
Solo Exhibition of previously sold out architectural prints, plus the release of a new Shag print.
The After Party at The Tropics w/Shag
The Tropics at Caliente Tropics, 411 E. Palm Canyon Dr., Palm Springs
Feb. 12, 10pm - 1am
Exclusive Shag tiki themed prints will be on display and for sale. Drinks for purchase at the bar.
Lunch w/Shag at TRIO Restaurant
TRIO, 707 N. Palm Canyon Dr., Palm Springs
Feb. 13, 12pm - 2pm
Have lunch with Shag ($35) and receive a special signed item.
A portion of the lunch cost will be donated to Modernism Week. TRIO is also next door to SHAG THE STORE.
MODCOM Fundraiser pre-party w/Shag
The Tropics at Caliente Tropics, 411 E. Palm Canyon Dr., Palm Springs
Feb. 13, 4:30pm - 6:30pm
Prints will be on sale. Cocktails for purchase at the bar.
Shag Valentines Day Book Signing.

These last two days have been epic. I will post some pictures once I download them all. Had a blasty-blast with Shag at the Tropics and the luncheon was great too.

I'm so bummed I didn't get to make it to the book signing on sunday, but I didn't get home from saturday's festivities til 5am. So needless to say, I was exhausted and slept in past all of sunday's events.

the shag show was awesome. we just bought the frame and mat for our reclining nude shag piece.
