Oh great, I have been practicing routing today and now feel like crap after looking at that work !
Very nice looking, I can see I need a new router, bits and most of the rest of my life to catch up.

Dtel, its not a competiton. All that matters is that you participate and a have a good time doing it.
Thanks for the feedback everyone. I will post more photos as I get closer to completion. Ive still got to design a base for it, paint and stain everything and finally get a piece of custom glass cut for the top.

That is an amazing piece of work! How did you attach the rope? Glue, nails or something else?

Hey Skip. I must say that the knick knacks in the table would not have been possible without all of the interaction Ive had with other collectors like yourself. Ive amassed most of that stuff very slowly over years and years of trading, purchasing, finding... etc.

The rope is hot glued with small finishing nails going through it.

That's really nice. Was it very difficult to bend the bamboo around the edges? Did you use steam? Thanks for sharing.

that's beyond incredible! looks like something made by master craftsman for the Disney Tiki room!!!!! I am speechless!!! truly a piece of fine art!!
