Type:other
Street:2950 E 21 Street N
City:Wichita
State:KS
Zip:67214
country:USA
Phone:--
Status:operational
Description:
This Fire Station is run by the City of Wichita, Kansas and is named after Charles Shoots, the first African-American hired by the Wichita Fire Department. It is unique in that art inspired by tribal masks adorn the station's exterior. While the masks are of African origin and not specifically Tiki, its novelty and originality make it of interest to Tiki-philes.

You're welcome. I think it's clever and unique--particularly for a fire station. Plus, I'm impressed with the artist's ability to disguise the materials he's using. (The masks are steel or aluminum.)
