That's clever. I have a palm log to carve this year. I have fun cleaning the bark. I have to figure out what to carve. It may be my first and last. It's hard to find palm up here in Northern California. Wendy

Danlovestikis- check out the local tree trimmer in your area, and ask him questions .They will give you free palms Just so they dont have to pay to dump them/

Or if you cant find a Palm order yourself a Stonetiki like the one in the photo it is made of cement! cant burn or deteriorate!

OK... Interesting. What sort of tools would one use to carve on cement? I never thought of using cement before, sounds interesting.

Um...I'm going out on a limb here, but...I think he carves a model, makes a mold and pours concrete in the mold.
